Uncle Larry's Cabin

Refreshing cider.
R2 and Captain Ahab had a nice chat.
He couldn't really understand this guy and thinks maybe he agreed to be a tribal member.

Short tour of Jaba the Hutt's palace.

R2 listened to Little Orphan Annie on this wonderful old radio.
Too many ducks in this place.

We though this dish was cool.

On top of the world!!

Nice photo of Pa.

My Uncle apparently wont be opening any of his windows, because they all look like this.

Nice

This tile is from Pewabic Pottery which uses clay from the mines my grandpas family worked in when living in Upper Peninsula.

This cabinet is an homage to Ma and Pa

amazing details

After we hung out at the cabin for a bit we headed down to the beach to check out the water.

Katie was loving the water.  A few minutes after this picture she fell into the water and got soaked.

R2 is enjoying the view.

And fun was had by all!!

My Nieces gave me a wonderful fashion show of the clothes I bought them.  They are modeling their matching PJ's while dancing to music.  They are so much fun.  Nicholas didn't feel a need to model his.  I will get some pics of him up soon.

TRAVERSE CITY!

I thought this was a cute idea.

They were asking $18 for these hand made buttons!  I could totally make these.

Mom and I found a couple of interesting shops that sold handmade and antique items kind of like a co-op.  It was so much fun.  I picked up some items for The Bag Lady booth I am going to do at Little Balkans.

Patti-R2 felt we should give you a sneak peek at your gift.  So he is standing on it.  Any guesses?

We ate at the Traverse City Pie Company.  R2 says there is nothing like a good marble Rye.

Then we ate Cherry Pie that was beyond delicious.

 Hot sand at the beach!

So, I am taking off my shoes and I look up and my mom is about halfway to the water and she is doing a bit of a dance, the sand was too hot.  She is hopping on one foot trying to get her other shoe on and I am laughing.  We decided to sit in the chair not to far from the concrete.  I still about burnt my feet walking over there.

It took some convincing but I finally got R2 onto the sand.

Then I buried him.  HA HA HA!

It was a good day full of lots of laughter.

Is this the Mary Kay headquarters?

Watch out for the Tusken Raiders!
I will do the ordering.......We will have the Special Turkey plate, please.

Where is my stuffing?........under the turkey and gravy? Why is it buried there?

R2 would like to report that the Turkey Special was absolutely delicious.  He now insists on coming with me every chance possible.  It brought back many childhood memories.  My grandfather thought it was the best.

Mom and I went shopping at Birch Run today.  It is a gigantic outlet mall.  She bought me these two small stands to display jewelry.  I bought a super cool watch, shoes and some clothes for my nieces.

Chewbacca?

Nope, this is my moms dog RocketHe is a tiny, furry fuzzball.

R2 has been traveling everywhere with mom and I.  It has been doing nothing but raining the last two days and it has been cold.  We have kept ourselves busy shopping.

We went to JOANN fabrics and it was gigantic! I found a plethora of Star Wars fabrics.  Here is one that I bought and........

..........this amazing fabric that I even paid full price for.  I could have lived in that store.  We were in there shopping for like 2 hours.
